It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the untimely passing of our colleague Richard F. Kline, PLS. Rich, as everyone knew him around the office, was not just a colleague but a friend and mentor to all who worked with him.
Rich and his brother Bryan joined our firm in 2006 when RF Kline and Associates, Inc. merged with DL Howell Surveying, LLC to form Howell Kline Surveying, LLC. Before that, Rich and I had been long time friends since our days together at Edward B. Walsh and Associates, Inc., many years prior.
Through Rich’s leadership, Howell Kline Surveying became one of the largest survey firms in the area. Many would agree, Rich was not only the finest surveyor in the region but more importantly, a humble gentleman who won the hearts of all of his clients and coworkers. Even after retirement, Rich continued to work with us in the field, teaching the profession to aspiring young surveyors.
Our hearts are heavy and while Rich will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in everything we do every day.
