After many, many years of planning and engineering (the project received Conditional Use while I was still in college, and I now have my own son in college), the Hills at Thorndale Woods project is finally under construction and is taking shape on the south side of Thorndale.
Since 2007, when Howell Engineering inherited this project after it received Conditional Use approval from Caln Township, our office has worked closely with the previous property owner, Southdown Properties, and Caln Township to provide a plan that worked for the home builder but also helped finally connect G.L. Eggleston Boulevard from S. Bailey Road to S. Caln Road.
The Hills at Thorndale Woods consists of 87 single-family lots and 175 townhomes. The site is conveniently located about half a mile west of the Thorndale Train Station and many shops and restaurants along Lincoln Highway. The site is currently being constructed and developed by Elm Street Development, which is using Brubacher Excavating for the site work. Ryan Homes will construct the homes. Take a look below to see how construction is progressing. The boulevard is curbed and stoned and ready for paving.
