After nearly 2 years of construction, the Westwynd Gardens banquet facility in West Brandywine Township is almost ready to begin hosting weddings and other special events. With the majority of the site work completed, the facility has been outfitted with a main banquet hall, a conservatory and a storage building.
A unique part of the project has been the repurposing and repositioning of an historic structure. A building that had been located close to the intersection of Routes 82 and 322 has now been moved within the building envelope of the property and will be used as part of the facility for storage.
Next up at the site, the sediment basin will likely be converted into the post-construction infiltration basin this spring. Howell will perform the oversight in accordance with the NPDES Notice of Termination (NOT) requirements to close out the permit, which is expected to occur sometime this year.
We’re honored to be adding new life to this location.
