Howell Surveying has been assisting in the monitoring of roads around a new apartment building in Kennett Square. The shoring is in place to help secure the road from shifting and settling. Howell Surveying has been taking shots on the shoring along the roads and locating the mag nails set in the roadway to compare the results twice a week. This will continue until the walls are in place and backfilled. It is a tedious process with little room for error, as every hundredth counts. Once the shots are taken, the data is sent back to the manager who plots and views the points. A chart is then filled out so the General Contractor can compare the data and be sure everything is within tolerance.
