At the June 15th Kennett Borough Council meeting Red Clay Manor Apartments received Final Land Development Plan Approval allowing for the project to move to the construction phase. Red Clay Manor will consist of sixty-two senior living apartments in one building located at the East end of the Borough of Kennett Square. D.L. Howell and Associates (DLH) was instrumental in securing complete land plan approvals in seven months. DLH worked closely with Borough consultants and staff to ensure the Developer’s project approval timeline was met.

DLH engineers were faced with a complicated downstream stormwater discharge scenario, which involved adjacent property structures in very close proximity to the proposed points of stormwater discharge for the project. DLH was able to work with an adjoining property owner to develop a discharge alternative that better suited all parties and provided for corrections to existing drainage issues on the adjacent property.

DLH will represent the Developer’s interests through an upcoming pre-construction meeting, on-going construction support and stormwater best management practice installation oversight during construction.
