We are currently looking for a curious and highly motivated Civil Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience working on a variety of civil engineering projects, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and an opportunity to gain valuable industry knowledge.
As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will assist our engineering team in the following areas:
- Project Support: Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects such as stormwater systems, grading, profiles, traffic design, and site developments.
- CAD Drafting: Prepare technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, organize, and analyze data from fieldwork, surveys, and geotechnical reports to inform project designs.
- Document Preparation: Assist in preparing reports, project documentation, and technical specifications.
- Cost Estimation: Support in preparing cost estimates, project schedules, and approval process.
- Research: Conduct research on local codes, environmental standards, and engineering principles relevant to each project.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, landscape architecture, traffic, structural, environmental, and surveying teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Fieldwork: Participate in site visits and fieldwork to monitor project progress, assess conditions, and support quality control measures.
Qualifications
- Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Some knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software is preferred.
- Familiarity with local codes, ordinances, and regulations is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to apply engineering principles to solve practical design challenges.
